Which protective films need to be removed and which ones can stay?
Both the top and bottom protection boards have two layers of protective film on their front and back sides. All films must be peeled off.
There is one protective film on the hollow dust‑proof inner ring; this also needs to be removed.
Each of the 84 puzzle pieces comes with a protective film. We highly recommend peeling them off. The included tool makes this easy. Once removed, each puzzle piece will have one glossy smooth side and one printed side. The reference image in the instruction manual shows the smooth side after film removal.
Which side is the front side?
Either side can be used as the front, based on your preference. This applies only after peeling off all puzzle‑piece films. If you leave the films on, only one side will show vibrant colors.
Which side matches the reference image in the instruction manual?
The reference image corresponds to the side originally covered by protective film. Before starting assembly, lay all puzzle pieces with their glossy smooth side facing up. (If you choose not to remove the films, place the film‑covered side facing up instead.)
About the film‑removal tool, how to use?
Some customers found the original‑version tool hard to use, so we have upgraded to a new small spudger. The new tool works on both sides — no need to tell which side is up. The hook end can lift film edges without using your fingernails for simpler, easier peeling.
New‑version protective frame will be available soon!
Besides anti‑drop locking screws on the bottom, we have added matching anti‑drop locking screws on the top based on customer feedback and testing. This creates full 360‑degree security. Even if the frame slips and drops, your puzzle pieces will not scatter.
Upgraded hanging hook also will be available soon .
We replaced the original S‑hook with a closed‑loop hook that cannot slip open. It fully protects your finished puzzle work.
